My fee
My fee is $255 per session.
Insurance
Some people have, but choose not to use their insurance. The benefit of doing so is having total privacy and autonomy over your treatment.
If you would like to use your insurance, I can see you if you have PPO insurance with out-of-network benefits. It is typical for insurance to reimburse you a percentage of the session fee after you submit an invoice (known as a Superbill), which I will generate for your use on a monthly basis. Benefits vary widely, with regard to the number of sessions allowed and the percentage that is reimbursed. Please contact your insurance and ask the following questions:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- Do I have to see someone on my insurance panel or can I see someone out of network?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year do I have?
- How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Please note that if they tell you they cover a certain percentage of the Usual and Customary Rate, that amount may differ from my rate, so you should ask what that Usual and Customary Rate is.
- Is pre-approval required from my primary care physician?
HMO plans typically have “in-network” benefits only and therefore would not reimburse for out-of-network providers.
